Push Button Lockout Cover

This cover fits over a push button switch to prevent accidental or unauthorised operation. It has an overall diameter of 50 mm and a 30mm hole, so it suits standard push button switches and secures with a padlock with a shackle up to 7mm in diameter. Strong double-sided securing tape is included.

In an industrial setting, it is used to lock off start buttons, stop buttons and control station switches during maintenance, so a machine cannot be started while someone is working on it.

It is equally used on door entry systems to stop a push to exit or door release button being pressed by people who should not be releasing the door. The same physical problem, a button that anyone can press, with the same solution.

Fit it with the supplied tape, close it over the button and padlock it. Lifting the cover is then a deliberate act rather than something that happens by accident.

Padlocks are ordered separately. Any safety padlock with a shackle diameter of 7mm or less will fit.
