The balaclava is used in combination with an arc-rated face protection shield as part of PPE to protect against the thermal hazards of an electric arc.
It effectively protects the neck and back of the head that are vulnerable to the radiation emitted during an arc flash incident
- For a higher arc flash protection of the head (360 degree protection)
