Work at Height Mansafe Wire Systems (Face to face)

RSTC-1047F2F - 1/2 daycourse duration (extends to 1 day with practical option)

Intended for
Plant fitters, engineers and any person who needs to access conveyors, refuse vehicles, tankers or similar structures which are protected by mansafe or bi-line safety wire systems

Introduction
This is a practical training course designed to ensure that persons can select, inspect and attach the specified fall restraint / fall arrest equipment and harnesses to the dedicated mansafe / biline system

  • System description and purpose
  • Comparison between fall restraint & fall arrest
  • Selection, inspection & use of safety harness
  • Selection, inspection & use of lanyards and transfastener
  • Pre-use inspection of mansafe system
  • Scheduled inspection & maintenance of mansafe system
  • Anchor point & system risks & limitations
  • The need for emergency planning & arrangements
  • Practical use of horizontal and inclined mansafe
  • Practical transition between mansafe and eyebolts

Entry requirements
PROSPECTIVE DELEGATES MUST HAVE ALREADY ATTENDED THE RSTC-1046F2F WORK AT HEIGHT EQUIPMENT USER COURSE

DELEGATES MUST HAVE TOTAL FLUENCY OF BOTH SPOKEN AND WRITTEN ENGLISH LANGUAGE

Assessment method
Assessment will be carried out via online written exam at the end of each module PLUS the completion of a PRACTICAL based exercise during the course itself
